### Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Reimbursement Specialist to join our team at Christus Health. As a key member of our financial operations, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of patient accounts and cash receipts.

### Key Responsibilities

* Receive and record payments on patient accounts, ensuring accurate application of payments received
* Process accounts receivable checks and other mail according to established procedures
* Identify and resolve any out-of-balance problems, investigating and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner
* Prepare daily cash receipts journal and balance all cash on hand
* Research and locate all payments for current months' accounts, reducing them to a zero balance
* Document all activity regarding payor recoups or take backs

### Requirements

* High School Diploma or Equivalent
* Licenses & Certifications: C-Heartsaver (Preferred)
