Job Summary:
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides professional nursing care for residents of all ages in long-term care, under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician. The LPN demonstrates knowledge of nursing principles for the resident in the relevant clinical setting.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Nursing Care
- Provides technical support to healthcare professionals as needed
- Documents resident interactions as needed and the outcomes related to resident care, medication, behavior, activity, and dietary
- Ensures the health, comfort, and safety of residents
Medication Administration
- Administers medications or treatments as ordered
Communication
- Counsels residents, family members, and/or resident advocates on prevention and treatment plans
- Communicates clearly and maintains confidentiality of sensitive information
Education and Training
- Knowledge of resident education principles to develop a self-care program
Requirements:
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges
Benefits
The Good Samaritan Society offers an attractive benefits package for qualifying full-time and part-time employees. Salary Range: $24.00 - $36.00 per hour
Estimated Salary: Based on a 40-hour workweek, the estimated annual salary is approximately $49,600 - $74,560.
