Job Summary:

As a skilled Truck Mechanic at Quality Carriers, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections on our fleet of tractor and trailer units. Your expertise will ensure that our vehicles are in top condition, meeting all regulatory requirements and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with tractors and trailers
  • Perform annual and systematic inspections to ensure compliance with Federal regulations
  • Operate a yard hostler truck to move trailers within the facility yard and shop
  • Order and receive parts and supplies as needed
  • Adhere to all established safety and environmental policies and standards
  • Clean and maintain the work environment to ensure equipment longevity and workplace safety
Requirements:
  • At least 3 years of experience in repair and service of trailers and medium duty trucks
  • Demonstrated knowledge of vehicle and equipment theory, principles, and repair relating to diesel engines, air, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems
  • Demonstrated knowledge of tractor and trailer maintenance, DOT rules and regulations, company policies, and procedures
  • Ability to use vehicle diagnostic software
  • DOT HM-183 certification, training, or experience
