Fabrication Welder

This role requires an experienced welder to join metal parts as specified by layout, blueprints, work orders, or oral instructions using heat or electric arc-welding equipment.

• Join metal parts together using spot welding gun, hand, electric, or gas welding equipment.
• Unite pipes from torch to tanks of oxygen and fuel gas and adjust valves for optimal flow.
• Reach expected temperature, size, and color of flame by burning torch and adjusting gas and air flow.

Additional duties include preheating work pieces for welding or curving, filling holes, and correcting mistakes in lead pieces. The ideal candidate will also climb ladders or work on scaffolds to disassemble textures and use thermal-cutting equipment to cut scrap metal.

The combination welder must be able to give signals to crane operators to lift large work pieces and place them safely. This position requires teamwork, problem-solving, and attention to detail.

Based on industry standards and market conditions, we estimate this role to have a salary range of $**60,000 - $80,000 per year**, depending on experience and qualifications.

• Minimum 4 years of Journeyman-level experience in fabrication welding.
• A valid Driver's License and TWIC Card are required.
