Volunteer Patient Companion

**Supporting Patients and Families**

We are seeking a compassionate and friendly individual to join our team as a Volunteer Patient Companion. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients and their families during their stay at our clinic.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accompany patients and their families upon arrival and departure, offering a warm welcome and farewell.
• Provide escort services to patients within the clinic, ensuring their safety and comfort.
• Assist patients with setting up and using various amenities, such as televisions, telephones, and WiFi.
• Entertain and care for patients during meals, making their dining experience enjoyable and stress-free.
• Offer transport and shopping services at our in-house kiosk, making it convenient for patients to access essential items.
• Assist with entrance control, adhering to hygiene regulations and ensuring a safe environment for all.
• Engaging Activities:
  • Take patients on walks, promoting physical activity and social interaction.
  • Play music, reading aloud, or engage in games and arts and crafts, stimulating patients' minds and creativity.

About You:

We are looking for someone who is friendly, helpful, and enjoys working with older adults. If you have a passion for supporting patients during their stay and are willing to participate in a 40-hour dementia helper training, we encourage you to apply.

Requirements:

• Availability of 2-3 hours per week
• Reliability and a friendly communication style
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
