Utility Construction Specialist

Job Summary

Team Fishel is seeking a skilled Equipment Operator to join our Saluda, VA operation. The successful candidate will assist the Foreman in completing projects safely, on-time, and within customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate utility construction equipment, including backhoes, directional drills, trenchers, and cranes, in a safe and productive manner.
• Deliver and pick up materials, reels of cable, steel plates, service tools, and equipment using Company vehicles.
• Work in the field with crews installing manholes, vaults, and completing other work as needed.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience operating utility construction equipment.
• Valid CDL-A strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with DOT's Enforcement and Compliance regulations.
• Meet all DOT requirements, including physical and drug testing.
• Ability to communicate effectively with Teammates.
• Willingness to follow directions and work in a team environment.
• Thorough working knowledge of utility construction and installation.
• Willingsness to travel a plus.
