Cardiac Sonographer

Cambridge Health Alliance is seeking a skilled Cardiac Sonographer to perform a broad spectrum of non-invasive cardiovascular tests. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cardiovascular imaging and be able to effectively communicate with medical specialists to provide high-quality diagnostic data.
Responsibilities
Perform a wide range of cardiovascular non-invasive tests, including 2-D imaging, color flow, spectral display, continuous and pulsed wave Doppler, exercise/pharmacologic stress, harmonics, and contrast imaging
Recognize adequate vs inadequate data collection and prepare preliminary reports for physician interpretation
Identify abnormalities and life-threatening findings and report to physicians or nursing units as needed
Respond to emergencies and take appropriate action to ensure patient safety
Maintain accurate records and use computerized databases to generate reports and enter hospital charges
Requirements
Accredited Allied Health Program and registry eligibility
BLS/CPR certification
Previous clinical background required
