Position Overview:
As a Radiation Therapist 2, you will play a crucial role in patient care by effectively communicating with patients, families, medical staff, and healthcare team members. Your responsibilities will include:
- Administering radiation treatments with precision, utilizing established treatment modalities and protocols.
- Conducting simulation procedures for initial patient set-up and ensuring the proper functioning of linear accelerators and simulators.
- Providing education and support tailored to the patient's understanding and needs, involving family members as appropriate.
- Collaborating with team members and being receptive to feedback to enhance patient care.
- Maintaining accurate records of treatments and documenting any changes in treatment plans.
- Performing quality assurance checks on equipment and reporting any discrepancies.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:
- Experience: A minimum of two years as a Staff Therapist in a Radiation Therapy Department.
- Education: An Associate Degree in Radiation Therapy.
- Certification: ARRT Certification in Radiation Therapy and BLS certification.
