Job Description: PPM Consultants, Inc., an Environmental Consulting Firm, is seeking an Entry-Level Geologist with 0 to 2 years of professional experience for the Altamonte Springs (Orlando, FL area).

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee drilling activities
  • Maintain and inspect remediation systems
  • Sample soil or groundwater
  • Bail water from groundwater monitoring wells
  • Lift or pull pumps, probes, or similar equipment from remediation wells or manways
  • Work within industrial manufacturing facilities
  • Work in a variety of weather conditions
  • Frequent travel within Florida and perform other duties as needed

Working Conditions: You will be working under a certified Professional Engineer and a certified Professional Geologist, so you will be able to pursue obtaining your P.G./RPG.

Requirements:

  • Successful candidates should have an undergraduate degree - preferably Bachelor of Science in engineering, geology, or other science field
  • Ability to provide competent and quick service to Project Team
  • Ability to follow specific instructions
  • Ability to communicate in a positive manner both verbally and written
  • Must work as part of a team

Compensation: Salary will be paid on an hourly basis, and overtime is possible and likely. Must be authorized to work in the United States.
