We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Industrial Hygiene Specialist to join our team at Raytheon Technologies. As a key member of our Environment, Health & Safety department, you will play a critical role in ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for our employees.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and improve EH&S programs to ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- Work with cross-functional teams to develop control plans and implement proactive strategies to prevent injuries.
- Conduct first aid and OSHA injury investigations and root cause analysis, identifying corrective actions and tracking to completion.
- Identify, define, and resolve EH&S problems that are not immediately evident.
- Develop and deliver training and presentations to promote awareness and compliance.
- Serve as a resource for employee compliance questions and concerns, influencing safe behaviors.
- Interpret and apply OSHA, EPA, DOT, NIOSH, ANSI, NFPA, IFC, IBC, and other applicable regulations and standards.
- Effectively organize, prioritize, and address multiple, simultaneous projects or tasks.
- Bachelor's degree in EH&S or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 2 years of direct experience in Industrial Hygiene or Safety, or advanced degree in a related field.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Preferred qualifications include professional certification as a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) within 4 years.
- Knowledge and experience with industrial hygiene monitoring methods, respiratory protection, hearing conservation, industrial ventilation, asbestos, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation.
- Flexibility to accept additional assignments within EH&S.
- Ability to manage technical data accurately and efficiently.
- Active Secret level or higher security clearance.
