Job Summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is a vital member of our healthcare team, responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in a correctional setting. As an LPN with Wexford Health Sources Inc., you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care under the clinical guidance of Registered Nurses.
  • Direct and guide patient teaching activities, utilizing established medical record systems as applicable.
  • Implement medical plans through administering medications and interventions in accordance with provider instructions.
  • Document nursing encounters, patient response, effectiveness, and complications, communicating information to supervisory personnel and physicians as needed.
  • Assist in maintaining working and living areas, as well as supplies, in good order.
  • Participate as a member of the nursing care and treatment team, assisting physicians as assigned.
  • Utilize available in-house resource personnel and departments for treatment and consultation.
  • Implement clinical and technical aspects of care in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Current, unrestricted STATE Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) License.
  • Current CPR Certification.
  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience; correctional experience preferred.
