Job Summary

Memorial Hermann Health System is seeking a PRN Mammography Technologist to join our team at the TMC Breast Care Center. This is a PRN/day shift position with varied days and flexibility required. The successful candidate will perform mammography radiographic procedures to detect abnormalities, make diagnoses, and treat patients.

Job Description

As a PRN Mammography Technologist, you will be responsible for preparing patients for exams, explaining procedures, administering contrast when necessary, positioning patients for exams, selecting appropriate imaging techniques, and ensuring technical quality of images. You will also enter and monitor patient data, perform quality assurance on mammography equipment, and assist with initial and renewal applications for ACR and other accreditation.

You will identify and report any accidents, complaints, or equipment malfunctions to department management and ensure safe care to patients, staff, and visitors. You will also promote individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education and skills competency.
