About the Role: Novant Health is seeking a skilled registered nurse to join our team at New Hanover Regional Medical Center's Medicine II unit, renowned for its strong emphasis on teamwork and open communication. As a Critical Care Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for assessing patients' conditions and health needs, developing and implementing nursing care plans, administering medications and treatments prescribed by physicians, and fostering a culture of teamwork and open communication with other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities:

  • Affirm patients' rights and coordinate their care within the healthcare system.
  • Educate patients and their families about medical conditions, treatments, and preventive care measures.
  • Facilitate skill development and knowledge sharing among staff.
  • Assess patients' conditions and health needs.
  • Develop and implement nursing care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments prescribed by physicians.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork and open communication with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.

Requirements:

  • An associate degree in nursing or higher.
  • A valid North Carolina nursing license or Multi-State/Compact.
  • Commitment to continuous growth and development.
  • Enthusiastic attitude towards teaching and mentorship.
  • One year of relevant experience, preferred.

  • Competitive salary of up to $93,500 per year, based on experience.
