Job Summary

As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic at Vulcan Materials Company, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our mobile equipment. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining and repairing heavy construction equipment, ensuring that our operations run smoothly and our customers receive the best possible service.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. If you have a passion for working with heavy machinery and a commitment to safety, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote safety throughout the operation by prioritizing safety protocols and adhering to MSHA and Vulcan standards.
  • Repair and maintain mobile equipment to maximize performance and minimize downtime.
  • Inspect equipment and materials to identify and troubleshoot errors.
  • Document and record information accurately and efficiently.
  • Assist in driving heavy equipment and vehicles to ensure production continues efficiently.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working on diesel or heavy construction equipment is preferred.
  • Knowledge of general principles and practices of servicing heavy construction equipment is preferred.
  • Flexibility to work overtime and extended hours depending on customer and company demands.
  • Ability to work outside in all types of weather conditions and tolerate loud noises.
