Millwright Journeyman

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Millwright Journeyman to join our team at International Paper. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Obtain and execute daily work orders to maintain equipment and machinery
• Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to plan and execute maintenance tasks
• Dismantle and reassemble equipment as needed
• Move machinery and equipment using hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks
• Assemble and install new equipment and machinery
• Install machine and equipment according to lay-out plan, blue prints and other drawings
• Utilize hoists, lift trucks, hand tools and power tools to perform maintenance tasks
• Operate cranes, tow motors and fork lifts to move equipment and materials
• Align machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, dial indicators
• Install machinery; new and existing equipment
• May repair and lubricate machine and equipment
• Refurbish/maintain valves, pumps, gear boxes, bearings, agitators, conveyors, turbines, paper machines, lime kiln
• Have computer skills to track and record maintenance activities
• Measure for bearing clearance and shaft diameters
• Troubleshoot equipment reliability issues
• Fabricate structural materials as needed
• Assist mechanical craft as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Minimum high school diploma or have a GED equivalent
• Must be 18 years or older
• Technical training or certification as a Millwright; or at least 3 years of work experience as a Millwright
• Willing and capable of working all shifts
