Senior Quality Assurance Specialist

As a Quality Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in fostering our company's culture by helping us build and maintain a safe and effective organization.
The Quality Engineer is responsible for overseeing all aspects of Customer Quality, including engineering, product changes, suppliers, production, improvements, and launches. This position will have priority tasks to capture, track, reinforce, and push customer issues pertaining to quality toward timely resolution and closure.
This role reports directly to the Quality Manager and involves the following key responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of Customer Quality, including the proper utilization of the QVOC system.
- Prepare reports, continuous improvement activities, and other KPI/KAI related documents for review across all levels of the organization.
- Lead investigation and root cause analysis of non-conformances and ensure on-time completion of all validation activities, including coordination of PPAP.
- Understand customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate across all levels of the organization.
- Manage all customer support activities, including the management of all 0km issues.
- Perform other position-related duties as assigned.
Basic qualifications for this role include:
- Bachelor of Science in Chemical or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university or equivalent.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, or holidays as required.
- Experience with quality certification and systems such as ISO9001/ATF16949.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Master's Degree, in Chemical or Electrical Engineering or other related field.
- ASQ Certification in Quality and Reliability.
- Experience in continuous improvement systems and lean manufacturing.
- Experience with the AIAG Advanced Quality Planning and Control Plans, FMEA, Production Part Approval Process, MSA, and SPC (Statistical Process Control).
- Six Stigma Black Belt/Shainin Red X Certification.
- Extensive knowledge in Data Analytics utilizing Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, or similar applications.
We offer a competitive salary of $120,000 to $150,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
