Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Precision Strip. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preventative Maintenance: Collaborate with internal teams to schedule and perform preventative maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Equipment Repair and Maintenance: Lead inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and adjustments of equipment to ensure it is functioning at peak levels.
  • Inventory Management: Ensure an adequate inventory of spare parts, supplies, and equipment to complete jobs efficiently.
  • Installation and Assembly: Assist with the installation and assembly of new equipment to ensure seamless integration into our operations.
Requirements
  • Technical Expertise: Possess in-depth knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems, and fabrication techniques, including welding, plasma cutting, and torch experience.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Interpret and analyze technical procedures, electrical schematics, hydraulic schematics, service manuals, and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and support others to accomplish goals.
  • Continuous Improvement: Look for ways to continuously improve processes by anticipating problems, seeking best answers, and exploring multiple possibilities to offer solutions.
  • Decision-Making: Balance daily priorities with the ability to make reasonable decisions and swiftly refer problems/issues to the appropriate level.
  • Experience and Education: Possess proven maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment, with an accreditation from a technical school or applicable skills trade program.
