About the Role

US Main is seeking a highly skilled Civil Design Engineer to support land development projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in street, water, sewer, and site plan design using Civil 3D series software. Land use, survey, and project management knowledge is a plus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage, design, develop, create, and maintain small to large-scale construction projects in a safe, timely, and sustainable manner.
  • Conduct on-site investigations and analyze data (maps, reports, tests, drawings, and other).
  • Carry out technical and feasibility studies and create construction documents that satisfy technical specifications.
  • Assess potential risks, materials, and costs.
  • Provide advice and resolve creatively any emerging problems/deficiencies.
  • Oversee and mentor staff and liaise with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Process applications and submittals.
  • Monitor progress and compile reports in project status.
  • Manage budget and costing.
  • Comply with guidelines and regulations, including permits, safety, etc., and deliver technical files and other technical documentation as required.
Requirements
  • Proven working experience in civil engineering.
  • Excellent knowledge of design software, specifically AutoCAD, Civil 3D.
  • Proficiency in site layout, grading, utility design, erosion control, regulatory approvals.
  • Project management and supervision skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Licensure as a professional engineer in the state of Oregon preferred.
