Key Responsibilities:
- Take charge of patient care provided by Physical Therapist Assistants and Therapy Technicians. You may also guide and mentor staff and students, stepping into supervisory roles as necessary.
- Evaluate patient needs and initiate suitable physical therapy interventions, collaborating effectively with the healthcare team to uphold professional standards.
- Monitor and assess treatment outcomes, adjusting plans as necessary and communicating with physicians regarding patient progress.
- Conduct thorough assessments and regular reassessments for each patient, ensuring timely quality improvement evaluations. Focus on adult and geriatric patients requiring specialized rehabilitation services.
- Identify and address pain management issues that may hinder patient participation in rehabilitation, coordinating with physicians for further interventions when required.
- Develop and maintain individualized care plans tailored to each patient's rehabilitation needs.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Valid Physical Therapist license in the state of employment
- Preferred experience in inpatient rehabilitation settings
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
