Coffee Specialist

The Delta Hotels by Marriott is seeking a skilled Coffee Specialist to join our dynamic team.

The Coffee Specialist is tasked with managing customer orders and executing sales transactions within the café environment. Additional responsibilities may include maintaining cleanliness in food preparation areas, customer seating, and stock zones, as well as overseeing inventory levels. This role encompasses various duties as assigned by management.

• Welcomes guests and processes food orders, offering insights about menu items and identifying opportunities to enhance sales.
• Prepares beverages according to company standards, ensuring quality and consistency.
• Handles cash register operations, receiving payments from customers via cash or credit, accurately providing change, and adhering to all cash handling and customer service protocols.
• Informs customers about the distinctions between various coffee beans, brewing techniques, and home brewing equipment.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization in the customer area.
• Exhibits composure during peak times or unexpected situations to ensure smooth operations and to set a positive example for the team.

• Previous experience as a Barista is preferred.
• Experience in food service is essential.
• Familiarity with Starbucks operations is advantageous.
