We are seeking a highly skilled Security Installation Specialist to join our team at Allied Universal Technology Services. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for installing, programming, and configuring commercial electronic security systems for enterprise clients.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Project Manager in scheduling on-site work activities and ensuring timely delivery of equipment.
- Connect control panels, apply requirements, conceal wires, and install security software.
- Install, program, and configure commercial electronic security systems, including door access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, low-voltage communication, electronic locks, point sensors, and signaling devices.
- Troubleshoot new installations to ensure systems are functioning properly and meet codes.
- Demonstrate Allied Universal's core values as a highly skilled leader on the Installation Team.
- Supervise teams of Security Installation Technicians I and II.
- Manage multiple medium- to large-sized jobs simultaneously, adhering to approved hours and margin tolerances.
- Drive to client sites in a company-issued vehicle to perform system installation and confirm system effectiveness and contract requirements.
- Install electrical wiring, panels, cables, and security devices.
- Complete miscellaneous tasks assigned by the manager.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in the physical security, fire alarm, or low-voltage communication industry, installing field devices, programming systems, and running medium- to large-sized jobs.
- Experience with software such as Software House, Lenel, AMAG, S2, Brivo, Milestone, Exacq, Axis, Bosch, Commend, DMP, Open Options, Notifier, Fluidmesh, or ONSSI is preferred.
- Possess or have the ability to obtain proper state licensing once hired (Low Voltage D license, Alarm Installer License, etc.).
- Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment with minimal direction.
- Good communication skills for effective interaction with internal and external customers.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to be on-call on a rotational basis.
- Must be detail-oriented and organized.
- Must possess a valid driver's license with at least one year of driving experience, a clean driving record, and the ability to safely operate a vehicle.
- Medical, dental, vision, basic life, AD&D, and disability insurance.
- Enrollment in our company's 401(k) or Supplemental Income Plan, subject to eligibility requirements.
- Eight paid holidays annually, five sick days, and four personal days.
- Vacation time offered at an accrual rate of 3.08 hours biweekly.
