Job Summary

The Senior Analyst, Strategic Sourcing will support strategic and business initiatives across relevant product categories. This role will perform financial analysis and review of supplier programs, including rebate proposals, contract value, cost savings initiatives, and new market entrant proposals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop financial and analytical modeling utilizing Excel and other tools to oversee product and supplier proposals that support business activities.
  • Support the development, direction, and implementation of new and replacement products, new suppliers, current assortment assessment, expansion and rationalization of products and product categories, and product research processes.
  • Independently develop new product and supplier options to support overall business strategy and growth for Covetrus Proprietary Brands.
  • Support the negotiation of contracts, rebates, and deals with suppliers to drive profitability, while allowing our sales team a complete, competitive portfolio of product categories.
  • Maintain and proactively manage contract pipeline, including proactive identification of upcoming key contract renewals and negotiation opportunities.
  • Lead cross-functional efforts to resolve operational issues that arise internally or externally regarding our suppliers.
  • Support increased collaboration with internal Business Partners including commercial, finance, supply chain, and legal to increase efficiency commercial execution through new suppliers, branded product introduction & consolidation, and Covetrus Proprietary Brands.
  • Document and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for core business functions and processes.
  • Execute and support portfolio strategies using standard sourcing/supplier management processes and professional program management practices.
  • Demonstrate value contribution to the business, using key performance indicators to track and report progress.
  • Identify projects that can impact business growth, provide regular updates on project performance, and report on EBITDA impact to business.
  • Monitor strategy implementation and contract compliance.
  • Support supplier business reviews and trade show attendance, as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in engineering, management or business administration.
  • 4-6 years' experience in related field (supply chain, procurement, sourcing, etc.),
  • Demonstrated business acumen, strong ability to harness strategic sourcing to help drive business value.
  • Structured approach to program management, proven ability to deliver results from multiple projects.
  • Cross-functional experience, knowledge or past experience with sourcing systems and operations a plus.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, analytical, and collaborative skills are essential.
