Heavy Equipment Maintenance Technician

About the Role: As a Crane Operations Engineer with Steel River, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our overhead cranes and hoisting systems. This position requires a strong understanding of electrical and mechanical maintenance principles, as well as excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, repairs, and upgrades on overhead cranes, hoists, and related equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control systems on lifting equipment
- Collaborate with the service department and customers to deliver high-quality service and resolve technical issues
- Maintain compliance with safety protocols and company standards while working in production environments
Requirements:
- 1-2 years of experience as a crane service technician or in a related trade (electrical, mechanical, industrial maintenance)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to learn and apply mechanical, electrical, and industrial skills
- Willingness to travel and work in a variety of production environments
What We Offer: A competitive salary of $65,000 per year, plus benefits including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off. The estimated salary range for this role is $60,000-$70,000 per year, depending on experience.
