Job Summary:
As an Audiologist at Kaiser Permanente, you will play a critical role in providing diagnostic evaluations of the auditory and vestibular systems, assessing the neurological status of adults and children, and aiding in the rehabilitation of hearing-impaired patients. You will determine whether severely hearing-impaired patients are candidates for cochlear implant surgery, while upholding Kaiser Permanente's Policies and Procedures, Principles of Responsibilities, and applicable state, federal, and local laws.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Selects, performs, and interprets diagnostic test data for pediatric and geriatric populations, vestibular function, and facial nerve integrity.
- Counsels patients and informs them of future therapeutic plans.
- Provides mobile diagnostic services for inpatients, ICU, NICU, and operative patients.
- Performs evaluations, assessments, and referrals for hearing aids.
- Keeps accurate and comprehensive records in patients' medical charts and department-based files.
- Performs daily equipment biological calibrations, maintains equipment, and initiates requests for repair.
- Instructs monthly patient education classes.
- Assists families with placement into appropriate education settings for hearing-impaired children.
- Serves as a resource for hearing and vestibular assessment (and rehabilitation) to physicians, paraprofessionals, and patients regarding hearing health diagnostics and care.
Basic Qualifications:
- Masters or Doctorate degree in Audiology required.
- Audiologist License (California) required.
- Basic Life Support required at hire.
- National Provider Identifier required at hire.
Additional Requirements:
- One year of experience as an Audiologist preferred.

Will see adult and pediatric population.
