Job Summary:

The Mental Health Therapist is a key member of our interdisciplinary team who provides direct assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, treatment intervention, and psycho-education to our patients and/or their family members. As a seasoned mental health professional, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to individuals and families, working collaboratively with our team to develop and implement effective treatment plans. You will be expected to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in psychopathology and treatment modalities, and to provide expert clinical guidance to our team.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct thorough assessments of patients' mental health needs, including identifying symptoms, developing diagnoses, and creating treatment plans.
  • Treatment Planning and Intervention: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, using evidence-based practices and a range of therapeutic modalities, including individual, group, and family therapy.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination and to provide timely and relevant clinical information.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of patient interactions, including treatment plans, progress notes, and outcome measures.
  • Professional Development: Stay current with best practices in mental health care, including attending workshops, conferences, and training sessions, and participating in peer review and quality improvement activities.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Education: Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field.
  • Experience: Two years of post-graduate experience in mental health therapy, with a focus on assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
  • Licensure: Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of California.
Additional Requirements:
  • Knowledge and Skills: Demonstrated expertise in a range of treatment modalities, including individual, group, and family therapy, as well as experience with crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
