Tact Staff is in search of a travel nurse RN specializing in Med Surg for an exciting travel nursing opportunity.
Position Details- Specialty: Med Surg
- Discipline: RN
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Shift: 12 hours
- Employment Type: Travel
The RN will deliver direct patient care utilizing the nursing process in alignment with the applicable scope and standards of practice and the organization's policies and mission. The work schedule is full-time, with night shifts of 12 hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and assess patient care plans based on comprehensive patient evaluations to enhance outcomes and optimize resource utilization.
- Monitor, document, and communicate patient conditions as necessary.
- Collaborate across disciplines to ensure coordinated patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and addressing spiritual and psychosocial support needs.
- Assess the educational needs of patients and/or families, providing tailored education based on age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
- Delegate patient care tasks to ancillary staff effectively and may mentor student nurses and new hires.
- Exhibit critical thinking skills, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or equivalent.
- Current unrestricted RN licensure in the State of Colorado.
- Minimum of two years of nursing experience.
- BLS Healthcare Provider certification upon hire.
