Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Desktop Support Engineer to join our team at TEKsystems. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing top-notch technical support to our staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development of policies and procedures related to technical product and service support, including installation, operational functions, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Guide junior team members in providing customers with preventative maintenance and configuration recommendations to enhance product usability, performance, and customer satisfaction.
  • Plan, implement, analyze, maintain, and support PC security.
  • Locate and repair security problems and failures.
  • Provide technical support to OD staff related to PC security.
  • Develop and maintain documentation to ensure a secure computing environment.
  • Perform system and application vulnerability testing and communicate results to management.
  • Serve as the point of contact for all warranty and non-warranty parts replacements.
  • Provide escalated technical support.
  • Test, document, and recommend applications and operating system updates.
  • Diagnose and repair Windows Desktop software.
  • Serve as a liaison to leadership on trends and recurring issues with hardware and software.
  • Provide status updates on retired/decommissioned hardware to IT leadership.
  • Collaborate with vendors and business partners to resolve hardware and applications challenges.
Requirements

We are looking for an expert-level Desktop Support Engineer with a strong background in Windows 10, hardware, imaging, and desktop support. The ideal candidate will have excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
