Job Title: Interventional Radiology Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team at Medstar Montgomery Medical Center in Olney, Maryland.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to interventional radiology procedures, including preparing patients, operating imaging equipment, and maintaining a safe and clean environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patients for interventional radiology procedures, including explaining procedures and positioning patients
  • Operate imaging equipment, such as X-ray machines and fluoroscopy units, to produce high-quality images
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment, including disposing of biohazardous waste and cleaning equipment
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in radiologic technology or related field
  • Current certification as a radiologic technologist (RT) or registered radiologic technologist (RRT)
  • 1-2 years of experience in interventional radiology or related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
