Substitute Nurse

Cleburne ISD is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Substitute Nurse to join our team. As a Substitute Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing health services to students and promoting a healthy and safe learning environment.

• Provide direct care to students, utilizing professional assessment skills and established school health protocols.
• Serve as a health advocate for students, notifying parents of accidents or illnesses and securing medical care as needed.
• Coordinate the administration of medications to students, following district policy and procedures.
• Develop and implement effective procedures for mandatory screening programs, making referrals as necessary.
• Participate in the development of campus health education curriculum and provide health education to individuals and groups.

• Graduate of an accredited professional nursing education program.
• Valid registered nurse license to practice professional nursing in Texas from the State Board of Nurse Examiners.
• Certified by the Texas Department of Health to conduct vision and hearing screening.
• CPR Certification.

Maintain emotional control under stress, with exposure to bacteria and communicable diseases.
