The Y in Central Maryland is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Learning Coach to support the educational quality and positive child outcomes in our Head Start program. As a key member of our education team, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our teachers and children receive the highest level of support and care.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct regular classroom observations and coaching to support educational quality and positive child outcomes.
- Provide feedback to teachers and zone managers on areas of improvement and best practices.
- Collaborate with zone managers, curriculum and environments specialists, and director of early childhood education to ensure that outcomes are achieved for teachers and children.
- Support the implementation of quality improvement plans and identify resources to support center managers in executing these plans.
- Coach and support zone managers to serve as education leads for their buildings.
- Monitor the implementation and quality of curriculum and assessment, including lesson plans, child observations, and student assessment.
- Assist zone managers and teachers in understanding child outcomes data and using it to plan and individualize.
- Work with data and outcomes manager to track child outcomes and program quality assessment results.
- Develop and conduct training as needed, including professional development days and ongoing training.
- Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or related field.
- Teaching and/or supervising experience in a Head Start setting, preferably with Creative Curriculum.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid.
- Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
