We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team at one of our partner Skilled Nursing Facilities in Coeur d'Alene, ID.
About the RoleThis 13-week contract opportunity is perfect for a PTA looking to gain valuable experience in a medical setting. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will assist physical therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans, provide direct physical therapy services to patients, and collaborate with healthcare teams to support patients' rehabilitation goals.

Key Responsibilities- Assist physical therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans for patients in medical settings such as skilled nursing facilities (SNFs), home health, outpatient clinics, or acute rehabilitation centers.
- Provide direct physical therapy services to patients, focusing on improving mobility, strength, and function.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to support patients' rehabilitation goals and ensure coordinated care.
- Conduct therapeutic exercises and activities tailored to patients' needs and treatment goals.
- Monitor patients' progress and communicate findings to physical therapists, adjusting treatment interventions as necessary.
- Assist in the setup and use of therapeutic equipment and modalities during treatment sessions.
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and strategies for maximizing functional independence.
- Document patient progress and treatment interventions accurately and in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- State licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
- Experience working in a medical setting such as skilled nursing facilities (SNFs), home health, outpatient clinics, or acute rehabilitation centers preferred.
- Knowledge of physical therapy interventions, techniques, and equipment used in medical settings.
