About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Business Intelligence Engineer to join our Centralized Data and Insights Team in the AWS Partner Organization.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing scalable BI solutions, applying ETL, scripting, SQL, and visualization skills to drive business growth and accelerate customer success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide thought leadership in global business deep dives across key performance indicators.
  • Proactively make and justify recommendations based on statistical techniques and cross-referencing multiple data sources.
  • Automate reporting for regular metrics, identify areas of opportunity to automate, and scale ad-hoc analyses.
  • Own alignment and standardization of analytical initiatives across global partner teams.
  • Define, develop, and build business critical metrics and reports across all business levers, key performance indicators, and financials.
  • Provide data engineering with functional and technical requirements to improve efficiency of data pipelines.
  • Drive efforts with business leaders, BI leaders, and executive management across the partner organization.
  • Stay up to speed with the latest technology/techniques in Generative AI to raise the bar on reporting across the APO.
  • Partner with engineering, product, business, and finance teams to create key performance indicators and new methodologies for measurement.
  • Translate data into actionable insights for stakeholders both in and out of the team, create analytical insights to identify key priorities.

Basic Qualifications
  • 10+ years of professional or military experience.
  • 5+ years of SQL experience.
  • Experience programming to extract, transform, and clean large (multi-TB) data sets.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs.
  • Experience managing, analyzing, and communicating results to senior leadership.
  • A passion for data science and advanced analytical tools, e.g., ML.
  • Experience with theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis of results.
