Position: YARD HAND
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 7:00 pm, with mandatory overtime
Compensation: $14.00 per hour
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with loaders and supervisors to relocate trucks and trailers based on assigned tasks.
- Facilitate the movement of trucks and trailers to ensure efficient loading operations.
- Verify that trucks and trailers are fully loaded and secured prior to departure from the staging area.
- Coordinate with management to ensure the appropriate equipment is prepared for shipping.
- Work closely with maintenance teams to confirm that all necessary repairs are completed before utilizing equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness in the truck parking area by removing debris and trash.
- Organize trucks and trailers within the yard in a systematic and efficient manner.
- Assist with the movement of trucks and trailers for receiving purposes as required.
- Perform any additional tasks as assigned by the Lead Person or Supervisor.
- Demonstrate regular and punctual attendance.
- Maintain an attendance record that aligns with company standards.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Exhibit initiative to work independently while also being adaptable to team environments when necessary.
