Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior RF Engineer to join our team and support the development of in-service products and development programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the selection and optimization of RF systems and components, including antennas, coax cables, filters, datalinks, and amplifiers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the selection and optimization of RF systems and components to meet performance, size, weight, and power (SWaP) requirements for unmanned aircraft systems (UAS).
  • Develop and implement RF system architectures that meet performance, size, weight, and power (SWaP) requirements for UAS.
  • Perform RF integration and testing for payloads on unmanned aircraft, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance.
  • Conduct thorough EMI/EMC testing and mitigation to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Address and resolve RF-related issues, including line of sight, signal interference, and other performance-impacting factors.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive product development.
  • Provide technical support and guidance on RF-related matters to other engineering teams and stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain detailed documentation of RF designs, test plans, and test results.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in RF engineering, with a focus on unmanned aircraft systems or similar applications.
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing RF systems, including antennas, coax cables, filters, datalinks, and amplifiers.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, or a related field. A Master's or Ph.D. is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience on aircraft or UAS programs.
  • Experience with military radio standards and technologies.
  • Experience with flight trials.
