MRI Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at the University of California. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing routine to complex magnetic resonance imaging procedures for diagnostic purposes.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform MRI procedures in accordance with established guidelines and protocols.
- Prepare and position patients for procedures using established MRI protocols.
- Administer contrast media per protocol and educate patients on the procedure.
- Collect patient history, communicate patient information to radiologists, and prepare patients for procedures.
- Enter complex data into computer systems and review, verify, and evaluate images to ensure technical quality and image quality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve MRI-related PACS issues.
- Graduate of a school of radiologic technology or MRI Technology program.
- Registered Technologist for Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) issued by ARRT or ARMRIT.
- Venipuncture certification within six months of hire date.
- BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six months of hire date.
- Recent experience in a similar role and setting or new graduate of an approved MRI technology program.
- Proven knowledge of radiological computerized systems and applications.
- Thorough understanding of various radiological systems to include PACS and RIS.
- Six months of recent relevant experience.
- Previous hospital experience.
- Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
- Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
The University of California offers a competitive salary range of $142,402 - $142,402, with an hourly equivalent of $68.20. The hiring pay scale is based on experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure, and certifications, as well as other business and organizational needs.
