Aircraft Maintenance Specialist

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Maintenance Specialist to join our team in Savannah, GA.

Job Summary

The Aircraft Maintenance Specialist will be responsible for performing a variety of aircraft modifications and maintenance functions, including removal and installation of airframes, landing gear, engine components, electrical components, and control systems.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Perform required periodic maintenance and necessary servicing of all aircraft mechanical systems.
  2. Provide work direction for assigned technicians and promote high standards of quality through instruction and example setting.
  3. Act on behalf of the Mechanical Team Lead in their absence and assume their duties and responsibilities.
  4. Coordinate with the Inspection department to ensure compliance with internal and FAA inspection and documentation requirements.
  5. Properly complete work order sign-offs, shift turnovers, and other paperwork in a timely manner.
  6. Ensure that all work accomplished meets quality standards and specifications.
  7. Properly identify and store customer property and equipment.
  8. Follow standard operating procedures and JSAs when operating ground support equipment.
  9. Coordinate movement of aircraft as required.
  10. Assist in training new employees concerning computerized maintenance program (CMP) maintenance manuals, SRMs illustrated parts catalog (IPC) usage, flight test installations, and all maintenance of major components.
  11. Coordinate with other departments to arrange for the overhaul or repair of customer property as needed.
Requirements
  1. High School Diploma or GED required.
  2. 4 years Aviation Maintenance experience to include 3 years of experience working on mid/large size aircraft required.
  3. Corporate aircraft experience preferred.
  4. Other FAA Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic Certificate required.
  5. Valid Driver's License required.
