Job Description

The Assistant Store Manager plays a critical role in driving sales growth and delivering exceptional customer experiences. As a leader on our retail team, you will be responsible for supporting the Store Manager in promoting a customer-centric sales culture, where our values and guiding principles are at the forefront of all store operations.

Main Responsibilities

* Collaborate with the Store Manager to develop and execute in-store strategies to drive sales growth and improve customer satisfaction
* Establish and communicate clear expectations to store teams, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities in achieving brand standards
* Oversee payroll and supply budgets while managing basic operational activities such as scheduling, target shrink audits, physical inventory, opening and closing duties, time sheet review, and payroll accuracy documents
* Ensure compliance with laws, loss prevention policies, operating procedures, and controls; conduct associate training to reinforce proper controls
* Develop a high-performance culture by motivating sales teams to meet assigned sales and productivity goals
* Train and coach teams to ensure selling staff is fluent in product knowledge on-line and in-store

Requirements

* High school diploma or equivalent required
* 2+ years of retail management experience preferred
* Excellent communication, verbal, and written skills
* Ability to learn and adapt to company-provided technology
* Proven excellent customer service skills with a statistical track record in sales and leadership
* Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
* Strong leadership qualities, training, and team-building skills
* Knowledge of administrative aspects of store operations

Working Conditions

* Constant walking/standing (67-100% of 8-hour shift)
* Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. (1-33% of 8-hour shift)
* Frequent climbing (34-66% of 8-hour shift)
