Position Overview:
We are seeking a full-time Oncology Nursing Specialist (RN) to become an integral part of our compassionate nursing team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of safe and effective oncology treatments while prioritizing patient education and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate comprehensive services for patients and their families, focusing on the administration of oncology and hematology therapies.
- Utilize current pharmaceutical resources to prepare and administer chemotherapy and immunotherapy agents as prescribed.
- Adhere to safe handling protocols concerning cytotoxic substances and ensure accurate dosage calculations.
- Collect and analyze laboratory specimens following established procedures and physician directives.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments using the nursing process, ensuring adherence to established care standards.
- Document all relevant patient care activities, demonstrating the application of the nursing process and focusing on achieving optimal patient outcomes.
- Assess patients for venous access and manage central venous access devices according to current standards.
- Provide education to patients and families about their conditions, treatment options, potential side effects, and follow-up care.
- Offer counseling to patients and their significant others to address psychosocial and emotional needs, acting as an advocate for their well-being.
- Collaborate with physicians, hospitals, and home health agencies to implement effective care plans.
- Serve as a phone nurse, addressing inquiries from patients and families regarding medical questions and prescription refills, while maintaining accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record System.
- Uphold ethical practices and embrace principles of cultural diversity and inclusion.

Requirements:
- Nursing diploma or Associate's Degree required; higher education preferred.
- Current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse in Pennsylvania.
- CPR certification.
- Minimum of two years of nursing experience or one year of oncology nursing experience.
