- Monitor expenditures related to facility maintenance and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
- Prepare and manage the facilities maintenance budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other building systems.
- Ensure that all equipment and systems function efficiently and effectively, addressing any issues promptly.
- Coordinate with other departments to support their operational needs and address facility-related concerns.
- Oversee facility improvement projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to required quality standards.
- Manage external contractors, ensuring they adhere to organizational standards and policies.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans for facilities-related incidents, including natural disasters and equipment failures.
- Coordinate emergency repairs to minimize disruption to operations.
- Conduct regular emergency drills and ensure that staff are trained in emergency procedures.
- Minimum of 5 years in facilities maintenance, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
- Proven experience in budget management and cost control.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of fostering a positive work environment.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in using facilities management software and tools.
- Certification in facilities management (e.g., CFM, FMP) is a plus.
This position requires daily on-site presence. May involve occasional evening or weekend work to address emergencies or complete projects.
