Job Summary:

Nurse practitioners at Kaiser Permanente provide high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with healthcare teams to deliver exceptional service. They assess patients' health needs, develop and implement personalized care plans, and provide education and support to promote healthy lifestyles.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collecting subjective and objective data to inform diagnosis and treatment plans
  • Developing and implementing comprehensive care plans, including pharmacologic interventions and educational strategies
  • Facilitating referrals to community resources and healthcare facilities as needed
  • Providing ongoing support and education to patients and families

Essential Qualifications:
Minimum one (1) year experience as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant
Graduate of an accredited RN and NP Program or PA program
Masters Degree in Nursing (effective 1/1/03 for those not previously grandfathered in by CMS)
Nurse Practitioner Furnishing Number (California) AND Nurse Practitioner National Certificate AND Nurse Practitioner Certificate (California) AND Registered Nurse License (California)
OR
Physician Assistant License (California) AND Physician Assistant National Certificate
National Provider Identifier
Basic Life Support

Additional Requirements:
Willingness to consider Physician Assistant job code 30008
Current DEA Registration Number

Preferred Qualifications:
Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant experience, comfortable with well-baby exams and physicals, efficiency to work in a busy high-functioning clinic
