Clinical Nurse II

Albany Medical Center is seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse II to join our Vascular Surgery team. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care, collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals, and contribute to the development of evidence-based practice guidelines.
Key Responsibilities- Implement physician orders, administer medications, and perform treatments and procedures as required by company policy and local/state/federal rules and regulations.
- Assess and evaluate patient needs for, and responses to, care rendered, and develop and implement individualized plans of care.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients, and direct and guide ancillary personnel to maintain standards of professional nursing.
- Provide primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses, and administer over-the-counter and prescription medications as ordered.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, and demonstrate knowledge of quality concepts, principles, and problem-solving tools and techniques.
- Graduate of a professional academic nursing program in which a Diploma, Associate Degree or Baccalaureate Degree is conferred.
- Must hold current NYS Registered Nurse license.
- Obtains and maintains certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
- Minimum of 1-3 years of previous clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.
- Excellent communication, prioritization, organizational and time-management skills.
