Job Title: Speech/Language Pathologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech/Language Pathologist to join our team at the Dripping Springs Chamber of Commerce. As a Speech/Language Pathologist, you will play a critical role in providing speech and language services to students with communication disorders.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan and provide individual and group therapy to students with speech and language goals in their Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Evaluate student progress and determine readiness for termination of therapy services.
  • Conduct individual evaluations to assess students with speech or language disorders and conditions to determine eligibility for services.
  • Develop speech/language plans for individual intervention (IEPs).
  • Participate in the Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) Committee to assist in interpretation of assessment data, appropriate placement, and goal setting for students with communication disorders or conditions.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field.
  • Valid Texas license as a speech-language pathologist granted by the State Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology (SBESLPA).
  • One year of supervised clinical speech-language pathology experience.
Working Conditions:

This position requires frequent sitting, kneeling/squatting, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting. Regular light lifting and carrying (under 15 pounds) and occasional heavy lifting (45 pounds or more) may be required. Regular district-wide travel to multiple work locations as assigned.

This position also requires exposure to biological hazards, bacteria, and communicable diseases.

The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to use the accepted tests and measurements to assess communication disorders and conditions.
