Medical Care Specialist

Job Summary:
Rx relief is a specialty staffing company providing supplemental pharmacy professionals for all pharmacy practice settings. As a Medical Care Specialist, you will be part of our team and play a vital role in ensuring the best possible care for patients.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate physician medication orders for appropriateness, potential interactions, and route of administration
- Maintain patient/resident database with current and past medical history, clinical and laboratory data
- Ensure laboratory tests are ordered, evaluated, and discussed with healthcare team members
- Collaborate with healthcare team to provide clinical and technical support
- Document communication with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members
- Implement policies for safe procurement, storage, distribution, and use of drugs
- Obtain and maintain required documentation according to federal and state regulatory agencies and policy
- Inform Pharmacy Manager of medication-related errors
Requirements:
- Pharm.D. degree
- 2 years of experience as a pharmacist
- Active KY State Pharmacist License
- Strong attention to detail and multitasking ability
