Position Overview:

The individual in this role will be accountable for the establishment of the bar area, crafting and serving beverages, and ensuring the cleanliness of the bar environment. This position requires the ability to not only take orders from patrons but also to process their payments efficiently. A solid understanding of beverage options is essential to provide recommendations and ingredient knowledge. The goal is to consistently exceed guest expectations while adhering to all relevant liquor regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute daily tasks to maintain a clean, efficient, and safe bar atmosphere.
  • Support fellow bartenders as needed to foster teamwork and collaboration.
  • Uphold cleanliness standards in the front of the house to ensure high-quality service.
  • Engage with colleagues in a respectful and professional manner.
  • Deliver exceptional guest service consistently, as directed by management.
  • Report any unsafe conditions or practices in line with company policies.
  • Welcome and interact with guests in a friendly manner to create memorable experiences.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of bar equipment, adhering to departmental procedures.
  • Assess the physical condition of equipment daily and report any repair needs to management.
  • Manage time and productivity in relation to business volume.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Prepare and serve beverages to guests and servers, following established guidelines.
  • Handle guest interactions promptly and professionally, exceeding expectations.
  • Process guest payments accurately, including cash and credit transactions.
  • Complete inventory requisitions and supply lists as necessary.
  • Understand and comply with state and local liquor laws.
  • Recognize signs of overconsumption and responsibly manage service.
  • Maintain a welcoming and professional demeanor with guests.
  • Fulfill all other assigned responsibilities.

Qualifications:

  1. Ability to read, write, and communicate in basic English.
  2. Competence in multitasking to maintain a cohesive work environment.
  3. Ability to follow simple instructions and handle standardized situations.
  4. Physical capability to lift items up to 150 pounds and perform various physical tasks.
  5. Positive attitude and strong work ethic to ensure operational efficiency.
  6. Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and holidays.
  7. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions.

General Duties:

  • Understand and comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Participate in mandatory meetings and training sessions.
  • Stay informed about company and franchise updates.

Education:

  • High school diploma preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of three years of bartending experience in a high-volume environment.

Skills:

  • Proficient in preparing drinks according to standard recipes.
  • Extensive knowledge of wines and beverage options.
