Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Parts Department Associate for our leading manufacturing client in SW Florida.

Your primary responsibilities will include creating orders, researching parts, fulfilling job requests, and maintaining an accurate inventory. You will work closely with various departments to ensure that all parts are available and properly managed to support their production process.

The ideal candidate will have 1+ years of experience in a similar role and strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Proficiency with computer systems, including Excel, QuickBooks, and ERP software is also required.

We offer a competitive salary of $18-$28 per hour, depending on experience, and a range of benefits including medical, dental, and vision plans, as well as 401(k) retirement plan options.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and process orders for parts and supplies to maintain optimal inventory levels
  • Research and identify parts using catalogs, databases, and computer systems
  • Fulfill job requests by ensuring the correct parts are available and delivered to the appropriate departments
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, including receiving, storing, and issuing parts
  • Participate in regular inventory audits and cycle counts to ensure accuracy
  • Collaborate with procurement, production, and maintenance teams to forecast parts needs and manage inventory effectively
  • Assist internal teams and customers in locating and obtaining the correct parts
  • Ensure all parts are properly labeled and stored in designated locations
  • Handle special orders and returns efficiently
  • Maintain a clean and organized parts department

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or vocational training is a plus
  • Previous experience in a parts department, inventory management, or a related role in the manufacturing industry preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with computer systems, including Excel, QuickBooks, and ERP software
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Capable of following instructions, collaborating effectively within a team, and working independently
  • Physical ability to lift and move parts as needed
  • Must participate in basic computer skills and competency tests
