Position: Early Childhood Education Program Leader - Full Time or Part Time Exempt - The compensation range provided is reflective of the available range based on the position's requirements.

As the Early Childhood Education Program Leader, you will oversee the creation and execution of educational programs tailored for children from infancy to Kindergarten.

Your role will involve collaborating with the ECC Director to actively engage in the daily operations of the Early Childhood Center, serving as a valuable resource for families and their children.

Additionally, you will act as the primary contact for our special services, which include Occupational, Physical, and Speech Therapists, as well as any external professionals needed to support our students.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement educational programs for all age groups within the Early Childhood Center.
  • Coordinate with the Educational Director to integrate Judaic studies into the curriculum.
  • Conduct daily observations of educators and students to enhance instructional practices.
  • Facilitate goal-setting sessions and monitor progress for all Early Childhood Center staff.
  • Participate in Professional Learning Community (PLC) meetings to develop comprehensive curriculum documents for each grade level.
  • Provide professional development opportunities for all Early Childhood Center staff.
  • Evaluate staff performance through both informal and formal assessments.
  • Organize and lead a summer Staff Retreat.
  • Assist in the recruitment and hiring processes for Early Childhood Center staff.
  • Manage parent-teacher communication platforms.
  • Support scheduling requests and payroll management for staff.
  • Implement strategies to support students with diverse needs or challenges.
  • Coordinate all internal and external services (OT, PT, Speech, Mobility, etc.).
  • Additional responsibilities may evolve as the program expands and administrative roles are reassessed.

Qualifications:


Proven success in the education sector with extensive experience in early childhood education and supporting children with special needs.

Must demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines effectively.

Ability to manage multiple tasks, self-regulate, and adapt to a fast-paced environment while adjusting workload as necessary.

Creative and innovative thinking and writing skills are essential.

Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take initiative in challenging situations.

Proficient in computer applications and open to learning new software; familiarity with MS Office, Constant Contact, and membership databases is preferred.

Strong interpersonal skills to connect with educators, assistants, parents, and children.

Effective communication and collaboration abilities with administrative team members.

Availability to assist during special services as part of the childcare oversight team.

Experience in a synagogue, non-profit setting, or within the Jewish community is advantageous.

Understanding of Jewish holidays, customs, and traditions is beneficial.

Commitment to fostering a culture of understanding and community.


Experience:

Minimum of 3-5 years in early childhood education and at least 5 years in educational roles at any level.
