Position Summary:

Employment Status: Full-Time
Citizenship Requirement: U.S. Citizens only
Position Type: On-Site
Clearance Requirement: HSPD-12
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate between $16.44 and $18.44.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Compliance with the Homeland Security Presidential Directive (HSPD) 12 and Federal Information Processing Standards 201 (FIPS).
  • Management of the PIV Program, including VA Fingerprinting & Badging Appointment System.
  • Conducting identity proofing for applicants to ensure adherence to established protocols.
  • Executing the fingerprinting process for VA personnel, contractors, and affiliates, utilizing advanced fingerprinting technology in accordance with OPM guidelines.
  • Verification of identity through the comparison of photographs and government-issued identification.
  • Creation, printing, and validation of identification cards.
  • Maintenance and operation of fingerprinting machinery, ensuring regular data submission to OPM.
  • Providing administrative support to the PIV Program Specialist and Supervisor.
  • Reviewing employment processing documents for accuracy and completeness.
  • Delivering technical assistance and customer service to resolve various transactional inquiries.
  • Collecting and analyzing data on service trends and customer preferences.
  • Assisting clients with the complaint filing and appeal processes for minor disputes.
  • Conducting external complaint investigations and liaising with personnel outside the organization.
  • Ensuring accuracy in documentation and reports, including data entry into tracking systems.
  • Processing suitability and personnel security documents in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Utilizing computer network systems for effective information tracking and reporting.
  • Acting as a liaison for the customer service logistics department.
  • Employing office automation software to produce various outputs, including letters, reports, spreadsheets, and database updates.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • A high school diploma or GED is mandatory.
  • Ability to pass an HSPD-12 background check.
  • No prior or current felony convictions.
  • Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PDF).
