Job OverviewThis role involves working as an Oral Surgery Assistant, supporting our team of experienced surgeons in providing top-notch care to patients. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless operations, effective communication, and excellent patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist the oral surgeon with various surgical procedures, including dental implants, wisdom teeth extractions, bone grafting, and jaw surgery.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing equipment, setting up instruments, and ensuring necessary supplies are available.
- Greet patients, review their medical history, and explain surgical processes clearly and compassionately.
- Monitor patients' vital signs during surgery and alert the oral surgeon to any concerns or changes in condition.
- Provide post-operative instructions and educate patients on proper aftercare procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including instrument sterilization and biohazardous waste disposal.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; certification as a Dental Assistant or Oral Surgery Assistant preferred.
- Previous experience working in a dental or oral surgery setting strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of dental terminology and surgical procedures.
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients and provide compassionate care.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- $17.00 - $18.00 per hour.
