Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Security Instructor to support our client program in General, Physical, and Information Security. The ideal candidate will provide subject matter expertise in the development, delivery, and maintenance of the General, Physical, and Information Security Curriculum.

Responsibilities

The Security Instructor will be responsible for working with client program leads, management, and technical staff in the design, conversion, development, and delivery of training and certification projects, curricula, and products. This includes:

  • Assisting the client Training Division in course maintenance and instructional support for the General Security subject area
  • Performing course manager duties and instructing General Security courses
  • Completing client Instructor Basic and Intermediate Certification
  • Serving as course manager for course/products and instructing, preparing classroom, performing administrative support, managing classes and student accounts, and performing course maintenance
  • Demonstrating mastery of General, Physical, and Information Security knowledge, skills, and policy
  • Performing routine day-to-day course maintenance services for Instructor-led, eLearning course and products associated with General, Physical, and Information Security courses
  • Instructing General Security courses, including basic and advanced instructor-led courses in accordance with the course schedule
  • Instructing General, Physical, and Information Security courses related topics across the client curriculum programs
  • Providing classroom support and preparation
  • Providing instructional duties for traditional classroom and virtual instructor-led courses
  • Serving as a SME in response to student and customer inquiries with respect to General, Physical, and Information Security
  • Providing SME support for Training Needs Analysis (TNA) and for Beta testing of new products
  • Providing assistance to the Curriculum Manager in all phases of the ADDIE process, including file management, and extensive course review from cradle to grave
  • Reviewing training material/deliverables and providing recommendations on the accuracy of and relevancy of content of instructor-led eLearning, webinars, and performance support tools
  • Performing annual review of assigned courses and products
  • Reviewing Government material and policies to sustain accurate and relevant General Security course materials

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in the field of education from an accredited university or five years of experience as an instructor for adult learners in formal classroom or via distance learning courses related to DoD Security Policy
  • Experience in General, Physical, and Information Security
  • Experience in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Current Secret security clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship

Preferred Qualifications

  • Five years of work experience in General Security
