Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for operating a scanner to obtain images used to diagnose and treat various pathologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and position patients for MRI examinations, selecting appropriate anatomic and technical parameters to produce high-quality images.
  • Perform patient pre-screening, scheduling, and education related to the examination.
  • Enter and monitor patient data, transfer images from disk to magnetic media, and develop film in an automatic processor.
  • Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines to ensure patient safety.
  • Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, and dressing rooms.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date.
  • One or more of the following certifications: Cardiographic Tech, Radiologic Technologist (Magnetic Resonance Imaging), Radiologic Technologist (Radiography), or Medical Sonographer.
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree.
